Civil Litigation

Mr. Cabana represents businesses and executives in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He has represented clients in litigation and arbitrations involving breach of contract, assault and battery, negligence, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, civil conspiracy, fraud, malicious prosecution, and wrongful termination.

Employment Law

Mr. Cabana has experience in ERISA litigation and counseling including issues relating to pension and welfare benefit claims, collection of delinquent contributions, withdrawal liability, successor and control group liability, reimbursement of benefit over payments, and enforcement of consent and confessed judgments.  He has advised clients on compliance with the Maryland Flexible Leave Act.  Mr. Cabana has also assisted clients in complying with HIPAA security regulations. 

Handbook Review

Mr. Cabana prepares and reviews personnel policies and employee handbooks and personnel manuals.  An employee handbook is one of the most important communications between a company and its employees.  A well written Handbook will establish expectations for your employees, and will also explain what they can expect from the company.
